The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
ROM1 is a member of a photoreceptor-specific gene family encoding an integral membrane protein found in the photoreceptor disk rim of the eye. It can form homodimers or heterodimerize with retinal degeneration slow (RDS). This protein is essential for disk morphogenesis and may act as an adhesion molecule for stabilization and compaction of outer segment disks or maintenance of rim curvature. Mutations in ROM1 are associated with retinitis pigmentosa.
