Target Information
Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2) is a member of the JAK kinase family and plays both structural and catalytic roles in type I interferon (IFN) signaling. It may contribute to antiviral immunity. Mutations in this gene are associated with hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome (HIES), a primary immunodeficiency characterized by elevated serum immunoglobulin E.
