Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
GBE1 is a glycogen branching enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of alpha-1,4-linked glucosyl units from the outer end of a glycogen chain to an alpha-1,6 position on the same or a neighboring glycogen chain.
Branching increases glycogen solubility and reduces osmotic pressure within cells.
Highest expression levels are found in liver and muscle.
Mutations in GBE1 are associated with glycogen storage disease IV (Andersen’s disease).
