Target Information
DBX2는 developing brain homeobox (DBX) 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, DBX1과 달리 뇌의 제한된 영역에서 발현됩니다. 또한 사지 발생부위나 치아 배아 등 일부 간엽세포에서도 발현됩니다.
DBX1과 DBX2는 일부 운동뉴런의 좌우 협응 조절에 관여하는 인터뉴런 발달에 기여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
Xenopus에서는 DBX2가 1차 신경발생 및 신경판 패턴 형성에 관여하며, ventral neural tube의 패턴 형성에서 NKX6-2의 교차 억제 파트너로 작용한다고 알려져 있습니다.
