LOX-1 (lectin-like oxidized LDL receptor-1)은 40–50 kDa의 type II 막당단백질로, 내피세포, 대식세포, 활성화된 혈소판 및 평활근세포에서 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 산화 저밀도 지단백(oxLDL), 변형된 HDL, 노화/세포사멸 세포, 활성화된 혈소판 및 세균 등 다양한 리간드에 결합하여 광범위한 생리학적 기능을 수행합니다.
