Target Information
CRB2 (Crumbs homolog 2)는 Drosophila crumbs 단백질과 유사하며, CRB1 및 CRB3와 함께 망막, 뇌, 신장에서 발현됩니다. Crumbs 단백질은 신경상피 세포 발달 시 세포 극성을 설정하는 복합체를 형성합니다. 배아줄기세포(ESCs)는 신경 지정이 시작될 때 CRB2를 상향 조절하며, 이는 신경 로제트의 꼭대기(apical)에 위치합니다. CRB2의 기능 획득 및 상실 연구 결과, CRB2는 다른 극성 단백질의 안정화에 필수적임이 확인되었습니다. CRB1과 달리, CRB2의 돌연변이는 망막색소변성증이나 Leber 선천성 흑암증과 관련이 없는 것으로 보입니다.
