Target Information
Gelsolin은 액틴 단량체 및 필라멘트의 plus 말단에 결합하여 단량체 교환을 방지하는 단백질입니다. 칼슘 조절에 의해 액틴 필라멘트의 조립과 해체 모두에 관여합니다. 이 유전자의 결함은 가족성 아밀로이드증 핀란드형(Familial Amyloidosis Finnish type, FAF)의 원인이 될 수 있습니다. 여러 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 다양한 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
