Target Information
SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2), also known as 2019-nCoV, is a virus responsible for illnesses ranging from mild cold-like symptoms to severe respiratory distress and death.
The Spike Protein consists of two domains, S1 and S2. The S2 domain is critical for viral fusion and entry into host cells.
Spike proteins are key targets for neutralizing antibodies, T-cell responses, and protective immunity. Variability in Spike proteins reflects viral diversity and adaptation to different environmental triggers.
