Target Information
NEK2는 세포주기 조절에 관여하며 염색체의 정확한 분리에 필수적인 단백질 키나아제입니다. NEK2 유전자는 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제를 암호화하며, 주로 중심체(centrosome)에 위치합니다. G1 단계에서는 검출되지 않지만 S 단계 동안 점차 증가하여 G2 후기에서 최고 수준에 도달합니다. 이 유전자는 다양한 스플라이싱 변형을 통해 서로 다른 C-말단을 가진 여러 이형체를 생성합니다. NEK2는 Retinitis Pigmentosa 67 및 Retinitis Pigmentosa와 같은 여러 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
