This antibody is predicted to react with equine, non-human primate, rabbit, and porcine based on sequence homology.
Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
MMP3 (stromelysin-1) belongs to the peptidase M10A subfamily. It is secreted in its pro-protein form and activated by extracellular proteinase cleavage.
MMP3 binds zinc and calcium ions and exhibits metallo-endopeptidase activity. The active enzyme degrades collagen, gelatin, fibronectin, and laminin.
It is involved in normal cellular processes such as wound repair and tissue remodeling. Mutations in the gene can result in coronary heart disease 6.
