Target Information
MLH1 is a DNA mismatch repair protein essential for maintaining genetic integrity. Defects in mismatch repair pathways can lead to microsatellite instability (MSI) and have been linked to carcinogenesis. Mutations in mismatch repair genes, such as MLH1, are associated with hereditary nonpolyposis colon cancer (HNPCC). MLH1 forms a complex with PMSH and MSH2 to facilitate mismatch repair during DNA replication.
