Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
CHP2 (Calcineurin B homologous protein 2), also known as Hepatocellular carcinoma-associated antigen 520, is a 196 amino acid protein containing four EF-hand domains. It plays a role in transmembrane Na⁺/H⁺ exchange by binding to and activating NHE-1, increasing intracellular pH and protecting cells from serum deprivation-induced death. CHP2 is highly expressed in malignantly transformed cells and considered a tumor-associated antigen. Ectopic expression promotes proliferation of HEK293 cells, while knockdown inhibits proliferation in HepG2 cells. CHP2 can also bind and stimulate calcineurin A, activating the calcineurin/NFAT signaling pathway.
