Target Information
MLK is a member of the serine/threonine kinase family. This kinase activates MAPK8/JNK and MKK4/SEK1, and can itself be phosphorylated and activated by JNK kinases. It functions primarily in the JNK signaling pathway and is involved in nerve growth factor (NGF)-induced neuronal apoptosis.
