Target Information
Dystroglycan은 dystrophin-glycoprotein complex의 laminin 결합 구성요소로, 세포막 하부의 세포골격과 세포외기질을 연결하는 역할을 합니다. Dystroglycan 1은 상염색체 열성 근이영양증의 돌연변이 부위 후보 유전자로 알려져 있습니다. Duchenne muscular dystrophy에서 dystroglycan 1의 현저한 감소는 세포막과 세포외기질 간의 연결 손실을 초래하여 근섬유가 괴사에 더 취약하게 만듭니다. 또한 Dystroglycan은 Schwann 세포막에서 agrin 및 laminin-2의 이중 수용체로 작용합니다. 근육형과 비근육형 isoform은 단백질 서열은 동일하나 당화 구조가 다릅니다. Alternative splicing을 통해 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 다양한 전사 변이가 생성됩니다.
