Target Information
WDR4 단백질은 tRNA의 7-methylguanosine 변형에 필요하며, WD 반복 단백질 패밀리의 구성원입니다. WD 반복은 약 40개의 아미노산으로 이루어진 보존 서열로, GH-WD 모티프로 둘러싸여 있으며, 다단백질 복합체 형성을 촉진할 수 있습니다. 이 패밀리의 단백질들은 세포 주기 진행, 신호 전달, 세포 사멸, 유전자 조절 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다.
WDR4는 비증후성 난청(DFNB10)의 후보 유전자로는 제외되었으나, 21q22.3에 위치한 다른 질환 및 다운 증후군 표현형 발현과 관련된 후보로 제시됩니다. 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 최소 3가지 전사체 변이가 생성되며, 이 중 두 가지는 3' UTR에서 차이를 보이나 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
