Target Information
Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase of the SRC-related TEC subfamily.
Mutations in BTK are associated with developmental blocks in human B-cell ontogeny and immunodeficiency disorders.
BTK interacts with toll-like receptors (TLR4, 6, 8, and 9), which are key molecules in innate and adaptive immunity.
It also interacts with MyD88, TIRAP, and IRAK, but not TRAF-6, indicating involvement in lipopolysaccharide signal transduction.
