Target Information
SLIT2 proteins act as ligands for Robo receptors and play a vital role in axonal migration and navigation during neural development. Various cleavage products through alternative splicing are reported for SLIT2 proteins. The C-terminal cleavage proteins are more diffusible, while the N-terminal proteins are more tightly cell-associated. SLIT2 is expressed in tissues such as fetal lung, kidney, and adult spinal cord.
