Product Specific Information

The monoclonal rat IgG2a kappa is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Applications Reported: This eBR2a antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and normal human peripheral blood cells; use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 661 (BUV661) is a tandem dye emitting at 660 nm, intended for use on cytometers equipped with an ultraviolet (355 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.

Target Information

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass produced by the rat immune system, known for complement activation and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC).
It has a molecular weight of approximately 160 kDa, composed of two heavy and two light chains.
Commonly used as a control or reference antibody in experiments involving rat models, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.
