Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
When using this carrier-free antibody for conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
This gene encodes a protein with a sterol sensing domain (SSD) and seven WD domains.
In the presence of cholesterol, this protein binds to sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) and mediates their transport from the ER to the Golgi.
The SREBPs are then proteolytically cleaved and regulate sterol biosynthesis.
