Product Specific Information
- Restore vial at 4°C prior to use.
- For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-sheep serum, purified and partially purified D-Amino Acid Oxidase (Pig Kidney).
- Cross-reactivity with other species/tissues may occur but not determined.
Target Information
D-Amino Acid Oxidase는 peroxisomal flavoprotein enzyme으로, FAD를 prosthetic group으로 사용합니다.
이 효소는 다양한 D-amino acids를 기질로 하며, L-amino acids에는 반응하지 않습니다.
생물학적 기능은 명확히 규명되지 않았으나, 노화 과정에서 축적되는 D-amino acids를 제거하는 detoxifying 역할을 할 가능성이 있습니다.
마우스에서는 NMDA receptor의 co-agonist인 D-serine을 분해하며, schizophrenia 병태생리에 관련될 수 있습니다.
