Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is an integral plasma membrane protein that promotes cell adhesion. It is believed to undergo O-linked glycosylation. Expression of this gene can be induced by gamma interferon in certain cancer cells. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
