Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Cytoplasmic ribosomes, which catalyze protein synthesis, consist of small (40S) and large (60S) subunits composed of RNA species and about 80 distinct proteins.
The RPL7A gene encodes a ribosomal protein of the 60S subunit, belonging to the L7AE family.
It interacts with certain nuclear hormone receptors (e.g., thyroid hormone receptor), inhibiting their DNA binding and transactivation.
RPL7A is part of the surfeit gene cluster and co-transcribed with several small nucleolar RNA genes (U24, U36a, U36b, U36c).
It can rearrange with the trk proto-oncogene to form the chimeric oncogene trk-2h, encoding an oncoprotein that fuses the N-terminus of RPL7A with the receptor tyrosine kinase domain of trk.
Multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene exist throughout the genome.
