Product Specific Information

Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW) depending on the sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Voltage-dependent calcium channels mediate calcium ion entry into excitable cells and are involved in processes such as muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and gene expression.
These channels are composed of multiple subunits (alpha-1, beta, alpha-2/delta, and gamma). The alpha-1 subunit forms the pore and determines channel properties.
The CACNA1A gene encodes the alpha-1A subunit, mainly expressed in neuronal tissue.
Mutations in CACNA1A are linked to familial hemiplegic migraine and episodic ataxia type 2.
Expansion of polyglutamine repeats in the coding region is associated with spinocerebellar ataxia type 6.
