Product Specific Information

The PC61.5 antibody reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2Rα).
CD25 is expressed by early T/B progenitors and activated mature lymphocytes. It forms a high-affinity receptor complex with CD122 (IL-2Rβ) and CD132 (γ chain).
Binding of IL-2 to both receptor classes is inhibited by PC61.5 antibody.

• Applications Tested: Flow cytometry of mouse splenocytes (≤ 0.5 µg/test)
  • 1 test = antibody amount for staining in 100 µL final volume
  • Recommended to titrate for optimal performance

Brilliant Violet™ 650 (BV650) emits at 649 nm and is for use with violet (405 nm) laser cytometers.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (00-5333-54).
Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

CD25 (IL2RA) encodes the IL-2 receptor α chain, forming part of the high-affinity IL-2 receptor complex with IL2RB and IL2RG.
It regulates proliferation and differentiation of T/B lymphocytes.
IL-2 acts as a growth and differentiation factor, enhances NK cell activity, and regulates immune responses.
Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin-2 receptor alpha deficiency and immune dysregulation.
