Target Information
Heme oxygenase는 heme 대사에 필수적인 효소로, heme을 biliverdin으로 절단하며 이후 biliverdin reductase에 의해 bilirubin으로 전환되고, carbon monoxide를 생성합니다. 이 효소는 heme 및 다양한 비-heme 물질에 의해 유도됩니다. Heme oxygenase는 유도성인 heme oxygenase-1과 구성성인 heme oxygenase-2 두 가지 isozyme으로 존재합니다. HMOX1과 HMOX2는 heme oxygenase 계열에 속하며, 이 유전자는 세 가지 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 여러 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변형체를 포함합니다.
