Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) plays a central role in vascular, renal, and myocardial physiology.
Unlike its homolog ACE, ACE2 expression is restricted to heart, kidney, and testis.
ACE2 also functions as a receptor for the SARS coronavirus.
Its physiological role includes converting angiotensin I (AngI) to Ang1-9 and angiotensin II (AngII) to Ang1-7.
Loss of ACE2 expression in knockout mice leads to reduced cardiac contractility, emphasizing its importance in heart function regulation.
