IRF9는 항바이러스 면역에서 중요한 역할을 하는 전사 인자입니다. Type I IFN (IFN-α, IFN-β) 신호 전달을 매개하며, Jak kinases (TYK2, JAK1)를 활성화시켜 STAT1과 STAT2의 티로신 인산화를 유도합니다. IRF9/ISGF3G는 인산화된 STAT1:STAT2 이합체와 결합하여 ISGF3 전사 인자 복합체를 형성하고, 핵으로 이동하여 IFN 자극 반응 요소(ISRE)에 결합해 인터페론 자극 유전자의 전사를 활성화시킵니다. 이 과정은 세포를 항바이러스 상태로 전환시킵니다. [UniProt]
