Target Information
SIRT7는 효모 Sir2 단백질과 상동성을 가지는 sirtuin 단백질 패밀리의 구성원입니다. sirtuin 패밀리는 핵심 도메인을 공유하며 네 개의 클래스로 구분되며, SIRT7은 class IV에 속합니다. 인간 sirtuin의 기능은 완전히 밝혀지지 않았으나, 효모 sirtuin 단백질은 유전자 발현의 후성적 침묵(epigenetic gene silencing) 및 rDNA 재조합 억제에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 연구 결과에 따르면 인간 sirtuin 단백질은 세포 내 조절 단백질로 작용하며 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase 활성을 가질 수 있습니다.
