Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Voltage-gated potassium channels represent the largest and most diversified class of ion channels, found in both excitable and nonexcitable cells. They regulate resting membrane potential and control the shape and frequency of action potentials.
The KCNS3 protein is an electrically silent alpha subunit that can form heteromultimers with functional members of the Shab-related subfamily of potassium voltage-gated channel proteins. This gene belongs to the S subfamily of the potassium channel family. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
