Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This gene encodes the coagulation factor XIII A subunit, the last zymogen activated in the blood coagulation cascade. Plasma factor XIII consists of two A subunits with catalytic function and two B subunits that act as carrier molecules. Platelet factor XIII contains only A subunits identical to plasma origin. Upon activation by thrombin and calcium ions, the B subunits dissociate, yielding the active enzyme factor XIIIa.
Factor XIIIa catalyzes crosslinking between fibrin molecules, stabilizing the clot, and also crosslinks alpha-2-plasmin inhibitor or fibronectin to fibrin.
Deficiency of factor XIII can lead to bleeding disorders, impaired wound healing, and habitual abortion.
