Target Information
CD97 is a G-protein-coupled seven-span transmembrane adhesive receptor constitutively expressed on granulocytes and monocytes and upregulated on T and B cells upon activation. It exists in alternatively spliced forms, and its ligand CD55 (DAF) protects cells from complement-mediated damage. CD97–CD55 interactions facilitate leukocyte activation and migration, and CD97 may play roles in tumor invasiveness, T cell regulation, and granulocyte homeostasis.
