Dentatorubral pallidoluysian atrophy (DRPLA)는 소뇌 운동실조, 근간대성 간질, 무도증, 치매를 특징으로 하는 희귀 신경퇴행성 질환입니다. 이 질환은 ATN1 유전자 내 삼염기 반복(CAG/CAA)의 확장(정상 7–35회 → 49–93회)과 관련이 있습니다. 단백질은 세린 반복, 산성/염기성 아미노산 교대 영역, 가변 글루타민 반복을 포함하며, 대체 스플라이싱으로 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 두 전사체 변이가 생성됩니다.
