• Reconstitute antibody with 50 µL of double distilled water (DDW).
• Store reconstituted solution at 4°C for up to 1 week.

Target Information

TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1) is a receptor for capsaicin, the main pungent ingredient in hot chili peppers. It elicits a burning pain sensation by selectively activating sensory neurons.
TRPV1 is a non-selective cation channel related to TRP family members such as TRPC3 and TRPC6, and is permeable to calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium ions. Structurally, it contains six transmembrane domains, a P-loop membrane domain, and three ankyrin repeat domains.
Activated by noxious heat, TRPV1 acts as a transducer of painful thermal stimuli and mediates proton influx, contributing to intracellular acidosis in nociceptive neurons. Expression is mainly restricted to sensory ganglia neurons.
Diseases associated with TRPV1 include Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Bladder Disease.
