Product Specific Information
- Antibody is tested in direct ELISA.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For staining of formalin-fixed tissues: heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Uroplakin 1B is a component of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM), a specialized biomembrane produced by terminally differentiated urothelial cells. It may play an important role in normal bladder epithelial physiology by regulating membrane permeability of superficial umbrella cells or stabilizing the apical membrane through AUM/cytoskeletal interactions.
