Product Specific Information
- Antibody is tested in direct ELISA.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Uroplakin 1B is a component of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM), a specialized biomembrane produced by terminally differentiated urothelial cells. It may play an important role in normal bladder epithelial physiology, potentially regulating membrane permeability of superficial umbrella cells and stabilizing the apical membrane through AUM/cytoskeletal interactions.
