RGS21은 이 패밀리의 새로운 구성원으로, 맛봉오리 세포의 일부 아형에서 선택적으로 발현되며 α-gusticin, phospholipase Cβ2, T1R2/T1R3, T2R 등 단맛 및 쓴맛 수용체 구성요소와 함께 발현됩니다.
