Target Information
Histones는 진핵세포 염색체 섬유의 뉴클레오솜 구조를 형성하는 기본 핵 단백질입니다. 네 가지 핵심 히스톤(H2A, H2B, H3, H4) 각각 두 분자가 옥타머를 이루며, 약 146 bp의 DNA가 이를 감싸 뉴클레오솜을 형성합니다. 연결 히스톤 H1은 뉴클레오솜 사이의 DNA와 상호 작용하여 염색질을 고차 구조로 압축하는 역할을 합니다.
이 유전자는 인트론이 없으며 히스톤 H4 패밀리에 속하는 단백질을 암호화합니다. 전사체는 polyA 꼬리 대신 팔린드롬 종결 요소를 포함하며, 염색체 6번의 대규모 히스톤 유전자 클러스터 내에 위치합니다.
