SRPK1은 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로, 스플라이싱 인자의 세포 내 위치를 조절하여 기본 및 대체 스플라이싱 조절에 관여합니다. SRPK1은 핵과 세포질에 존재하며, 두 가지 스플라이싱 조절 형태 모두에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 이 유전자에는 두 번째 대체 스플라이싱 전사체 변형이 보고되었으나, 그 전체 길이는 아직 규명되지 않았습니다.
