Target Information
PTBP1 유전자는 널리 발현되는 heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) 하위군에 속합니다. hnRNPs는 RNA 결합 단백질로서 heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA)와 복합체를 형성합니다. 이들은 pre-mRNA 처리 및 mRNA 대사, 수송 과정에 영향을 미치며, 일부 hnRNP 단백질은 핵과 세포질 사이를 이동합니다.
PTBP1 단백질은 quasi-RNA recognition motif (RRM) 도메인을 4개 포함하고 있으며, intronic polypyrimidine tracts에 결합하여 pre-mRNA splicing에 관여합니다. 또한 U2 snRNP의 pre-mRNA 결합을 촉진할 수 있습니다.
이 단백질은 핵질(nucleoplasm)에 위치하며, perinucleolar 구조에서도 검출됩니다. 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 보고되었습니다.
