Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with mouse, bovine, guinea pig, porcine, gerbil, and rat based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended before staining using 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is lung tissue.
Target Information
Alpha Tubulin forms a heterodimer with beta Tubulin, each approximately 55 kDa. This heterodimer is the fundamental unit of microtubules, cylindrical filamentous structures found in nearly all eukaryotic cells.
Microtubules provide structural support, serve as intracellular transport tracks, and play essential roles in mitosis.
Alpha and beta tubulins are highly conserved across species, with gamma Tubulin involved in microtubule nucleation.
Alpha Tubulin gene expression is mainly observed in morphologically differentiated neurological cells.
