Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional round of desalting (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during various stages of the cell cycle—particularly during late G1, S, G2, and M phases.
It contains a forkhead-associated (FHA) domain that mediates association with euchromatin at the perichromosomal layer, centromeric heterochromatin, and nucleolus.
Ki-67 shows cell cycle–dependent localization: perinucleolar in G1, nuclear matrix in G2, and chromosomal during M phase.
Because Ki-67 is absent in G0 cells and increases from G1 through mitosis, it is widely used as a proliferation marker.
Ki-67 antibodies help determine the cell growth fraction in neoplasms, with prognostic value comparable to the tritiated thymidine-labelling index.
Low Ki-67 index correlates with histologically low-grade tumors.
It is routinely used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
