RMI2는 단백질 코딩 유전자로, RMI 복합체의 필수 구성 요소입니다. 이 복합체는 상동 재조합 중간체의 처리에 중요한 역할을 하며, 자매 염색분체 분리 조절과 DNA 교차 제한에 필요합니다. 또한 BLM, TOP3A 및 관련 복합체의 안정성, 위치, 기능 유지에 필수적입니다. RMI 복합체 내에서 BLM을 크로마틴 및 스트레스 유도 핵 초점으로 유도하고, 유사분열 시 BLM의 인산화를 조절하는 역할을 합니다.
