Target Information
The trimeric complex of CDK7, cyclin H, and MNAT1 functions as a Cdk-activating kinase (CAK). It is an essential component of the transcription factor TFIIH, involved in transcription initiation and DNA repair. This complex links transcription regulation and the cell cycle. The bound complex contributes to normal double-strand break repair associated with BRCA1. CDK7 may also be a target of germline cancer-inducing mutations.
