Target Information
The YEATS domain-containing protein 2 (YEATS2) is a nuclear protein phosphorylated upon DNA damage by ATM or ATR and contains one YEATS domain. The gene encoding YEATS2 resides on chromosome 3, which includes approximately 214 million bases and over 1,100 genes. Chromosome 3 also holds a chemokine receptor gene cluster and various cancer-related loci. Deletions in the short arm of chromosome 3 are common in cancer cells. Tumor suppressor genes located on chromosome 3 include RASSF1, HYAL1, and SEMA3B, which play roles in apoptosis, cell migration regulation, and angiogenesis suppression.
