Target Information
Anti-human Polynucleotide Kinase (PNK) Polyclonal Antibody recognizes PNK, a 57 kDa nuclear enzyme involved in DNA strand repair during replication, recombination, and response to DNA damage.
PNK phosphorylates and dephosphorylates DNA termini at 5′-hydroxy and 3′-phosphate ends, and associates with nuclear proteins to facilitate DNA polymerase-beta and DNA ligase III activity.
PNK is essential for maintaining genetic stability in human cells.
