This peptide corresponds to an 18 amino acid sequence near the carboxy terminus of human VPS39.
PEP-1218 can be used as a blocking peptide with the polyclonal antibody PA5-21104.
Target Information
VPS39 is the mammalian homolog of the yeast vacuolar protein VAM6, which promotes lysosome clustering and fusion in vivo. It is also thought to modulate the TGF-beta response by coupling the TGF-beta receptor complex to the Smad pathway. Similar to the related protein TRAP1, VPS39 is essential for early embryonic development; mice lacking VPS39 die at or before E6.5.
