Target Information
Transcriptional control is regulated by interactions between DNA-bound transcription factors such as Egr-1/NGFI-A and coregulatory proteins NAB1 and NAB2. These corepressors contain conserved domains (NCB1 and NCD2) responsible for binding and repression functions. NAB2 localizes to the nucleus and may regulate NGFI-A activity, cell division, differentiation, and apoptosis. It has a predicted molecular mass of 56 kDa and is located on chromosome 12q13.3–14.1, a region associated with various solid tumors, lipomas, and liposarcomas.
