Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a subfamily of the phosphotransferases. This enzyme catalyzes the magnesium-dependent hydrolysis of L-phosphoserine, the final step in L-serine biosynthesis. It is also involved in an exchange reaction between L-serine and L-phosphoserine. Deficiency of this protein may be associated with Williams syndrome.
