This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MAGEA6 protein.
Target Information
MAGEA6 is a member of the MAGEA gene family. Members of this family have their entire coding sequences located in the last exon, and the encoded proteins show 50–80% sequence identity. The promoters and first exons of the MAGEA genes vary considerably, enabling expression under different transcriptional controls. MAGEA genes are highly expressed in various tumors but silent in normal tissues except testis and placenta. They are clustered on chromosome Xq28 and may be implicated in hereditary disorders such as dyskeratosis congenita.
