ALKBH8는 tRNA의 wobble 위치에서 5-carboxymethyl uridine을 5-methylcarboxymethyl uridine으로 메틸화하는 효소입니다.
메틸트랜스퍼레이스 및 디옥시게네이스 도메인을 통해 tRNA(Arg), tRNA(Glu), tRNA(Gly)에 작용하며, DNA 손상 후 정상 생존에 필요합니다.
세포 사멸을 억제하고 생존 및 혈관 신생을 촉진할 수 있습니다.
